Introduction
We initially attended this property following an out of hours call on Saturday from our Insurer client requesting emergency make safe works following impact damage to a property from a fallen tree during a storm the previous night.

The project
We attended the property within two hours or receiving the call where the significance of the damage was evident. The Tree had landed on the property causing significant structural damage to the timber roof trusses however the timber kit panels had very little damage considering the force applied to them during the collapse. To avoid internal water damage emergency works were instructed that weekend which included removal of the fallen tree and temporary tarpaulin works followed by internal clearance works and relocation of the contents in to other areas of the property.
We dispatched trades on the Sunday which included tree surgeons to cut all the accessible branches before implementing a contract lift with a mobile crane on the Monday of the remaining core of the tree, carefully lifting this into the garden for further disposal. The remaining stump was also cut down and lifted from the near garden for ease of disposal. We were also able to utilise the crane to position a temporary tarpaulin to ensure no water ingress into the property. All emergency works were completed within 48 hours of receipt of the initial instruction.
We were subsequently awarded the reinstatement works which include installation of a roof scaffold system, structural repairs to the timber kit, roof truss repairs and partial re-roof of the property, utilising salvaged tiles from the rear elevation to minimise the visual appearance of the repair from the front of the house.
